Here to provide thoughtful, anatomy-driven ski bootfitting in Bellingham, WA

My goal is to help skiers understand their feet, their boots, and what true comfort and performance actually require.

Why bootfitting matters

Bootfitting isnt about forcing your foot to tolerate pain. It’s about understanding anatomy, movement, and biomechanics so your boots work with you and not against you.

So Your Dogs Are Barking…

My fittings are educational, hands-on, and highly individualized.

  • Together, we assess your boots, feet, movement patterns, and skiing goals

  • I explain why your boots feel the way they do (and that no, you’re not crazy)

  • You laugh at my jokes

  • We make targeted adjustments to improve comfort and performance

  • You leave with a clear understanding of your setup and next steps

What Happens During a Bootfitting Appointment

Why Barking Dogs Bootfitting

I’ve spent a decade fitting ski boots, with a special focus on clients who’ve been dismissed, rushed, or told that pain is “just part of skiing.”

My approach prioritizes long-term foot health, honest communication, and real progress, not quick fixes or upselling.

Whether you’re brand new to skiing or have been struggling in boots for years, my goal is to help you ski with more comfort, confidence, understanding of your own anatomy, and allow you to partake in the bad bitch lifestyle.

Howdy! I’m Megan, the human behind Barking Dogs Bootfitting.

I’m Megan Jackson, a Bellingham-based ski bootfitter with a decade of experience working with skiers whose feet don’t fit the industry default, and several decades of uncontainable dance moves.

I specialize in anatomy-driven bootfitting for hard-to-fit, sensitive, and femme-shaped feet, with a focus on education, long-term foot health, and honest communication that may or may not include spicy vernacular.

I’ve worked with everyone from first-time skiers to racers, ski guides, snowboarders and dumbasses, along with mountaineers and hikers. I believe bootfitting should feel collaborative and communicative, not rushed, dismissive, or painful.

Outside the studio, I’m a lifelong skier, dog lover, student, havoc-wreaker, solution-seeker, move-busting, chortle-laughing asshat, curious by nature and deeply invested in helping people feel more at home in their bodies and their boots.
